Lazy Sushi

Monday, August 25, 2008

It was the the Olympic Closing Ceremony night, needed to make something fast, yummy and *cool*.
Sushi sounded like the perfect thing, but honestly, I can do without the seaweed roasting, sushi rolling and rolls cutting.
There got to be a lazy way to enjoy sushi.
A pack of sashimi-grade of mixed fish (toro, hamachi, salmon and carp), an avocado, shaved seaweed and some salmon roe on top of cooled sushi rice. Plain old wasabi and soy were getting too boring, so I made a mayonnaise based dressing with 7-flavored powder, chilli powder, sesame seeds, salt and a little sugar.
Yummmmmmmmm.
It was almost perfect; would have killed for some sweet mirin Tamago!
Time to blast the A/C and watch my TV!
